BE A GOOD ANCESTOR.

ABOUT

The Katzie, Kwantlen and Semiahmoo (KKS) First Nations initially began discussions to establish a jointly held economic development corporation over a decade ago, leading to Sacred Waters Developments (SWD) being formally established in early 2023. SWD has an objective to advance economic and social growth opportunities in the shared traditional territories of the KKS Nations, an area that generally encompasses what are now known as the municipalities of Surrey, White Rock, Langley, Delta, Pitt Meadows, and Maple Ridge, and extending north into the mountains.

SWD’s current focus is on real estate development opportunities, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use types and include projects owned by Sacred Waters, the partner Nations, and values-aligned organizations.

Through SWD, the KKS Nations are taking leadership in the acquisition and development of lands and identifying opportunities to bring together strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders to catalyze meaningful projects that will serve the KKS communities and the region as a whole.
